An American Werewolf In London review

Film description

In a nutshell:

An American tourist becomes a London.

From the director of Animal House... a different kind of Animal.

'A naked American man stole my balloons'

'I will not be threatened by a walking meat loaf!'

'Beware the moon, lads'

Two American students, David and Jack on a tour of Europe decide to start in Northern England.

They visit the lovely welcoming village of East Proctor, and despite warnings from the locals they set out across the moors.

They haven't got far when they are attacked by an animal of some kind - Jack is killed but David survives.

Waking up in hospital three weeks later, David is certain that it was an animal that attacked them but is informed by two detectives that it was an escaped lunatic.

David begins a relationship with his Nurse, unfortunately at the same time his dead friend Jack turns up for a chat.

Jack tells him they were attacked by a werewolf, and that David will turn into a wolf at the next full moon and begin killing...

...unless he kills himself first.
