
John Cusack takes the Woody role in Allen's '20s-set comedy about the struggle of a tortured young playwright to get his work produced. Jennifer Tilly is excruciatingly annoying as the mob moll he must cast to get funding, but that's the point, and it gives Chazz Palminteri's hood/aspiring writer a killer pay-off line.
