Kurt Russell and Martin Short front an ocean-faring comedy that's guaranteed to make you nauseous. Russell's eponymous turn as a grizzled, sozzled seadog is trainwreck bad, marrying Snake Plissken and Captain Birdseye to terrifying effect. Not one decent gag floats into view. Somewhere in the darkest recesses of hell, this movie is on a constant double bill with Russell's other maritime stinker, Overboard.
