The picture that put the 'irate' into 'pirate', Renny Harlin's self-declared "epic" was wrecked upon release and has steadily acquired a reputation as one of cinema's all-time clunkers. Unfortunately, though, CutThroat Island isn't gouge-your-eyes-out awful - that would have been far more fun - but is just Jack Straw boring, Geena Davis trout-pouting her way through water-logged explosions as she pursues a treasure map. Dull, dull, dull.
