The sequel to blockbuster Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes takes place 15 years later when humanity’s existence is nearing extinction.

Gary Oldman leads a group of scientists who struggle to stay alive in the aftermath of a plague spreading through San Francisco. Keri Russell, Jason Clarke and Kodi Smit-McPhee join the cause.

Andy Serkis returns as Caesar, the apes’ leader who tries to maintain dominance as his community of apes grow in intelligence.

The new installment brings a new director: Matt Reeves of Cloverfield replaces Rupert Wyatt.
