Anyone who thinks of Diana Dors as a cut-price Marilyn Monroe should invest in these two separately sold gems. Lady Godiva Rides Again is a sharp comedy from (old school) St Trinian’s director Frank Launder. Even among a cast of post-war favourites, Dors sticks out: blonde bombshell looks with a wise-cracking brunette’s lines and bona fide presence. If it’s ‘proper’ acting you’re after, see Yield To The Night, where Dors plays a murderess awaiting execution. Extras include stills and director profiles.
