Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium - DVD Review

Ever since Willy Wonka defined creepy wackiness for a generation, it’s been hard for other fictional fruit-loops to compete. Dustin Hoffman’s Mr Magorium is one such pretender. The 263-year-old toy impresario is ready to shuffle off, but not before he’s bequeathed his store to apprentice Natalie Portman. The Emporium itself is a thing of wonder, but the quirkiness is try-hard (Wes Anderson for the under-12s). Isn’t accepting mortality rather a heavy message for the kiddiewinks, anyway? There’s only a few featurettes in stock, sadly.
