In 1974, French photographer Just Jaeckin was hired to film a spicy bestseller about the sex lives of bored, rich French expats in Thailand. For the lead actress he spied a beautiful Dutch 21-year-old called Sylvia Kristel and, as he explains in his own charming way on the frank and funny interview featurette, “She was so pure. You could rub shit on her face and she’d look clean.”
