Plot:

Joel Barish (Jim Carrey) - insecure, emotionally withdrawn, geeky and sweet, meets Clementine (Kate Winslet) with her sassy nature and dyed hair.

They hit it off and Joel falls in love, but is confused when one day his feisty fruitcake doesn’t recognise him at all.

He discovers that she has had all memories of him erased by a company called Lacuna Inc.

Naturally a little miffed, Joel decides to do the same.

As Joel’s memories slowly are erased by the company in reverse, from the last time he saw Clementine to his first memory of her, he realises that even if he can’t be with her, he doesn’t want to forget her.

Soon he finds himself fighting against his own mind to keep hold of his time with her.

Can Joel resist Lacuna’s probing and return to normal life with his memories of Clementine intact?

And even if he does, will he ever be able to get over her... or want to?
