They say there aren’t enough lead roles for women of a certain age in Hollywood.

Close found that TV is a different story, following up a stand-out turn in The Shield with an Emmy-winning role as ruthless lawyer Patty Hewes in Damages.

I don't know why William Shatner is in this line up, he wasn't really a film thespian to begin with granted the first thing he was in according to imdb was a film but the Shatner is a TV actor.

Maybe he wasn't included as he wasn't a big a massive star before hand, but I think Timothy Olyphant deserves a mention.

Before his flawless performance as Seth Bullock in Deadwood, Olyphant was a in Scream 2, Go, Rock Star, Gone in 60 Seconds and A Man Apart - to name but a few.

Not exactly the CV you would expect from an actor cast to play the multifaceted, tough-as-old-boots sheriff of Deadwood.

Wouldn't you call that a reinvention?
