What Started The Fight? 20th Century Fox, which managed to combine both of its big space monster franchises in a way that had only been achieved before in comic books and video games.

Can anyone say "franchise synchronicity"?

The Loser: The audience, as it wasn't as good as we hoped.

Oh, and Sigourney Weaver didn't exactly approve of the movie or its sequel. “That whole thing makes me heartsick. That’s Fox’s decision to throw that legacy into the… whatever.”

She's got a point...
