Curtis showed on Blackadder that comedy is far funnier if low on sentimentality and that drama is more touching for what gets left unsaid, but then forget all that with Four Weddings, Love, Actually and The Boat That Rocked.

Let’s hope his forthcoming episode of Doctor Who doesn’t end the same way, or we may have to exterminate. Or something.
