    Cool list, schindler, but where's the (literally) jawdropping stamp from american history x? Sticks in my mind to this day

    Awesome list... Glad to see Children of Men in there. But talking of long takes, that made me notice the omission of Atonement, the bit on Dunkirk. One of my favourite shots of all time.

    Great list....could have had a 1000 entries and I still would have enjoyed it! But how about: The car chase in "Ronin" was pretty amazing too...all real no CGI. How about Paul Giamattis reaction in "Sideways" when he hears his ex-wifes "good news" about her pregnancy? 1000 emotions going through him in a few seconds....oscar-worthy! Or the splinter/eye scene in "Zombi 2" (aka Woodoo or Zombie Flesh Eaters)? Oh, there's so many......

    Great list, although I can't help but feel that some of the "How It Could Have Been More Shocking" hypotheses would have actually made said moments more comedic.

    List started out pretty awful, but got better between Toy Story and Departed. Being John Malcovich would have been infinitely better with Gary Oldman.

    The rebel ship being chased by a huge F-Off Star Destroyer at the beginning of ' A new hope' should have been number one. Or that bit in Sonatine / Violent Cop... (I forget), where Kitano deflects a gun which ends up shooting a bystander. Brutal.

    Nice list, some subjective omissions, but some of the worst "The Only Way It Could Be More Shocking" captions. A donkey dick for Pinocchio? Cameron Diaz's secretions? Jaye Davidson having both sets of genitalia? Did you let the work experience kid do these? The Only Way It Could Be More Shocking - if there were 100 more...

    Nice list! One that throws up lots of possibilities in the "Oh and what about ..." stylee! Others worth pondering? The sheer loathing and sadness on Mr White's face in Reservoir Dogs the moment he realises that he's been defending the rat all along. Or the beautifully composed shot in Lurhmann's Romeo and Juliet as DiCaprio snaps after the murder of Mercutio. Stunning.

    "The Only Way It Could Be More Shocking" captions. Why is this writer still employed by Total Film? He has never been, and never will be funny. Jokes which weren't funny at primary school will still not be funny now. Just give us the list and stop trying to be a comedian. You are embarrassing yourself and your magazine. Please somebody from Total Film reply to this. How is this tripe getting through an editor? This guy is the main reason I never buy the magazine any more.
