12 Films We Can’t Wait To See In Cannes
Why we Cannes not wait for these…

The Film: ‘Certified Copy’ in English is a French drama starring Juliette Binoche as an art gallery owner who meets British opera singer William Shimell.
Scheduling delays thanks to cast and crew switcheroos means that although we should have seen this way back in October 2007, it’s only just getting to see the light of day.
Previous attempts had Sami Frey as the singer, while director François Cluzet had a think about directing before Abba Kiarostami got the gig.
“This was the simplest film for me to work on," credits Kiarostami. "Even more simple than the work I’ve done on my shorts, because I was working with a professional team both in front of and behind the camera."
Why We Cannes Not Wait: Binoche is a Cannes darling, having helped both Michael Haneke and André Téchiné win big at the festival.
And Kiarostami will need all the help he can get: the film has been banned in his native Iran for being made in the west.
