First bails on Robocop (hurray no remake!), now this, you wouldnt wanna go shopping with the man, you'd be there all day. Anyway I think Gareth Edwards would be a good choice, he knows how to handle CGI and romance, but is he any good with action? We dont really want another ponderous airy-fairy arty look-at-the-flowers kind of thing Ang Lee did with 'Hulk'.

Total Film don't you mean David O'Russell directed the Fighter instead of Aronofsky, and not The Wrestler.

With all the remakes, tv/game conversions to film, would it be acceptable to remake a poor attempt at a film straight away? Wolverine origins was pretty poor compared to the other x-films that preceded it, so who's to say that they couldn't have another crack at it from scratch? The Japanese story would be good on film, but a more viseral and feral version of Wolverine being made into Weapon X is what i want to see. This is not just Wolverine i wonder this about, but other films in general (i'm still hoping George Lucas will lead the way on this and give us the prequels we deserve).

Ah, I think you can we a bit better than that. How about Danny Boyle or even Quentin Tarantino? That THAT would be exciting
