    instead of hudson manning up (meh) here are 10 moments from Aliens that deserved the spot more 1) Newt + Ripley VS 2 facehuggers 2) Ripley straps on a flamethrower and first discovers Queen making eggs 3) Newt is taken by Alien 4) Sentry gun scene 5) "You always were an a*****e Gorman" 6) Ripley's nightmare 7) "Game over man" + "they mostly come out at night" 8) "6 meters? That's inside the room?!?" 9) Hicks shows Ripley how to use the gun 10) Burke coc**ned deleted scene

    The vs 2 facehuggers is one of the finest scenes in Aliens.. "Christ kid, look out!"

    number 10 is a bit non-canon though surely, in no other film do people just turn into eggs when cokoowned ( i know, odd filters). The scene with ripley and mother directly before number 8 is one of my favourites. Having your fate explained in text (ripley and dallas earlier)beats the Blofeld 'talk em to death' approach and i think even pips Ash explaining it, although i love that one also. Never been a massive fan of number 13-massively overdoing the 'evil corporation' angle and we've seen a fair few mercy kills by this point in the series.

    The deleted "Coc**n" scene was restored and reinserted back into the director's cut of Alien. Surely Total Film know this?

    Tf normally get the review out first but they've missed out now.. Guardian and Telegraph reviews are online.. Be wary with the Guardian review as there (and I just ran my eyes over it briefly) are a couple of bits that are a little spolerific.

    Switch #1 with #2 (the latter STILL managed to make me jump at its climax, even though it was my second viewing since watching it with my sci-fi mad mum) and yeah, great list. I clearly need to rewatch "Aliens", though...

    I know the film's not much chop but a stand-out scene is definitely the aliens turning on one of their own to melt through the floor in Alien 4. That scientist looks very concerned.

    It always annoyed me that they have to do that to escape and yet later on they are spitting acid at people. Lazy film making

    I too now need to rewatch the series. I just love it so much. The first two are my favorite movies of all time. Alien 3 is criminally underrated, and Resurrection has some amazing moments and is a strange, imperfect but valuable addition to the series. My favorite film series.
