15 Spectacular Vegas Movie Scenes
Viva gambling, gangsters and going too far

The Scene: Vegas can be a strange and daunting place to the uninitiated.
One minute you’re out in the parched Nevada desert, the next immersed in a carnival of chaos and glitter.
It’s bad enough sober. So spare a thought for sports journo ‘Raoul Duke’ aka Hunter S. Thompson (Johnny Depp) and his attorney Dr Gonzo (Benicio Del Toro), permanently off their gourds on industrial volumes of psychotropic drugs.
Even the simple act of walking away from a revolving bar will turn into nightmare slapstick if you have ‘the fear.'
So Money Shot: Terry Gilliam's see-saw camerawork is so effective at visualing the characters' addled state it's something of a relief when - at 2:09 - Duke takes the direct approach to getting Gonzo off the carousel and boots him onto firmer ground.
