    I always thought the Harold Lloyd stuff was actually fake. He had a scaffolding underneath him the whole time and also a lot of the shots were a bit tricksy with the camera. He was (at times) almost on ground level. I only know this as I used to be a big fan of his but then saw a documentary about him which kind of shattered some illusions.

    Well (alleged) scaffolding and camera tricks asside gotta give the man his due this sequence is still pretty impressive when you think he lost the thumb and index finger of his right hand 4 years earlier doing a promo photo-shoot for Roach studios. He had a prostetic glove to hide the fact (most noticable on the close-ups when he's hanging from the rope)

    I think the bridge jump at the end of Hooper should have made the list. the whole chase scene at the end is awesome. Love that movie. It's pure cheese.

    The Speed Bus Jump was actually done twice.... the first landing was too smoothly.... on the second attempt the bus jumped much higher than anticipated... that's why the bus goes out of frame... Jan thought he f****d it up!

    Cheers for flagging the quote, mingfilm. It has now been independently verified and adjudicated (okay - checked on WikiQuote and by playing the video a few times) and it is actually: “What's the matter with you?” “I can't swim!” “Why, you crazy... the fall'll probably kill ya!” Duly amended.

    This list could have been better, there are many stunts which stuntmen sadly lost their lives...non was mentioned here. e.g quantam of solace ..... stuntman who sadly died during filming of car chase scenes at the beginning of the film

    jeffamania.... no stuntman was killed making QoS an engineer driving Bond's Aston Martin DBS to the set lost control of the car and ended up in Northern Italy's Lago di Garda (Lake Garda). The technican suffered only minor injuries but the car, valued at £120,000 ($235K), was completely totaled.
