What happened? Trash film production outfit (and makers of the Toxic Avenger) Troma films stage a weird rally at Cannes every year.
Why it’s great: The parade of freaks in dreadful monster get-up, amateurish make-up and wrestler’s spandex bring a desperate, frenzied edge to the festival. Without slightly demented nobodies, how would the somebodies know they were anybody?
