The Prison: Maximum security prison privately owned by the MenTel Corporation. It’s way underground, a bit like hell.
The Inmates: Ex-US Army officer John Henry Brennick and his wife Karen, who’ve violated population laws by illegally getting pregnant for a second time.
The Insane: Not only is it a futuristic underground prison that you’d be lucky to get out of alive, the mind-altering processes enacted by Director Poe are something else entirely. Interfering with dreams, strapping prisoners into giant spinning things, he's a madder, seriously corrupt Frankenstein.
How To Escape: You’ll need lots of firepower, one friend who’s a demolitions expert and another who’s tough as nails. Plus balls of steel.

No Absolom? You do an insanes movie prisons and forgot "No Escape", top bats**t prison flick and you've got... Carbonite? You've probably never seen Roadhouse have you? I despair. Go to movie hell where all movies are Rifftrax featuring Justin Bieber, Zac Efron and Paris Hilton and probably 3D. And where's the LA cryogenic prison from Demolition Man?

Nice write ups but come on, missing lots of classics (and plenty other not so classic... ;-) In addition to the Demolition Man's Cocteau Cryoprison and No Escape's Absolom Island... where's Camp Holliday and its exploding neck collars from the film Wedlock?? Stephen "Ned Ryerson!" Tobolowsky is the g*****ned Warden!! Exploding neck collars stolen from Running Man's opening prison scene by the way! check out my list at http://moviemiscellany.com/some-fictional-prisons-from-films/

So, a *lot* of omissions. To summarise: - Demolition Man - Escape From Absolom - Escape From New York - The Matrix (high concept prison) Cube isn't technically a prison, more like an experiment. And Shawshank doesn't fullfill the "insane" requirement. And Total Film, for frak's sake, learn to type Alien³ correctly. It's this easy, see?

Oh in Superman 2, that wasn't Red Kryptonite!! Red Kryptonite makes you lose your morals more or less, it wouldn't have made them lose their powers. Blue would have done that.
