The Romance: Dentist Chuck (Dane Cook) has really bad luck with women – every ladyperson he sleeps with ends up dumping him and marrying the next man they meet. Then he comes across Cam (Jessica Alba) and is besotted…
Most Soul-Destroying Moment: Not only the opening scene, in which Chuck is cursed by a 10-year-old (uhhhhkay), but also that uncomfortable moment where Chuck basically bribes Cam into going on a date instead of paying for her dentist work.
Redeeming Feature? Alba is lovely to look at. That’s about it.

You could have done 50 of these types of fims.... a horrible horrible phrase rom-com associated with mostly dirge, cack, and plain ol' dumb movies.... Kutcher, Hudson, McCon-a-face, Butler recently.... selling their souls. More you missed: When In Rome, The Ugly Truth, She's The Man, Letters to Juliet, 27 dresses Must Love Dogs, The Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past....I can't go on but there are so many, many more.... the challenge would be to try and do 20 decent ones...

What about Notting Hill? We are supposed to sympathise with some rich bloke who lives in a flash pad and who falls in love with a movie star? Wheres the escapsim? This being Richard Curtis it takes place in a no-blacks no-poor Aryan wonderland...pfft! And 13 going on 30? A 13yr old schoolgirl in a 30yr olds body? I think i saw this on an epsiode of Law and Order :SVU! Basically Ashton Kutchers back catalogue would have sufficed..

Bizarrely, Total Film gave 'Serendipity' 3 stars. Hypocrites.
