While I agree with the critique of the "exploding petrol tank" myth, using The Matrix as an example isn't the best idea considering the Matrix in the movies is a construct of what humans BELIEVE the world to be like... meaning that, in the Matrix, cars would explode if shot in the petrol tank.

DravenCage - dude, seriously!? That's quite a flight of fancy there. I don't really want to argue the point with you for fear of looking like an even bigger nerd than the type who posts on movie websites (unfortunately I am that nerd) but that sounds like a pretty flimsy theory. I can't recall any point in the three films (unless it was in the Architect's verbose ramblings) where it is stated that the Matrix is created to represent what humans BELIEVE the world is like, please educate me!

Its funny when in movies, they test DNA and get them back the same day, even though it takes WEEKS!

These are 20 good ones, but you left off my favorite: When a character holds a match to one fire sprinkler head, ALL the sprinkler heads in the building begin to spray water. While there are some types of systems where all sprinkler heads are open and will spray water when the system is activated, these deluge systems are very rare and are activated using other types of fire detection devices, not the sprinkler head itself. Basically, when you activate a single sprinkler head in the real world, you get water spraying from that single head.

Jimzilla - It's the interpretation I took from Agent Smith's speech in the first film. The scene where he talks about how the Matrix was originally designed to be a paradise, but the humans rejected it, only being happy when the world represented in the Matrix matched what humans perceived the world to actually be like. Ergo, it's a common misconception that petrol tanks explode when shot, so in a world that the human race believes to be real, this is something that could happen. Besides, if you want to get blunt about it, nothing in the Matrix is real, so the proverbial laws of physics aren't relevant anyway.

This feature is probably my faveourite in ages. Although I read it on my iphone app without any of the video clips so came on here to look again. Maybe you should take off "in the clip above" when putting it onto the app. Just saying. Also thank you for the silencer one as my bf tells me this everytime I watch a film with guns in. Now I can say zip it Total Film exposed it now you can rest.
