The Haunter: A poltergeist, the restless spirit of a murdered child who vents its anger by smashing windows and slamming doors.
The Haunted: Dr. John Russell, a New York composter who moves into an old Victorian mansion (is there any other kind?) in Washington after his wife and daughter are tragically killed.
Scariest Moment: Though he’s all alone in the house, John watches as every single door slams itself shut...

Is it just me or does it look like the Kim Jong Il puppet from Team America has been cast in that Poltergeist picture??

Number 15's pic is from 2003's Jeux d'enfants, AKA Love Me If You Dare. Which isn't about ghosts. Sorry!

Where's Tale Of Two Sisters? Either the 'what's that at the bottom of the bed?' moment, or the 'what did you see under the kitchen sink?' frightener.

Sorry but the Fridge scene in Ghostbuster is just comedy, you want chills? It has to be the Librarian in the prologue, quiet basement... floating books,...kindly old lady..Argghh! Oh and Turn of the screw deserves a mention

i'm so glad to see The Changeling on this list, it's my all time favourite movie. i have to disagree with the door slamming scene being the scariest though. the ball down the stairs, or even when John is listening to the tapes after the seance are much creepier.

@Hadouken76 Would have thought seeing as you comment on pretty much everything put on here and so looking like ur film knowledge is pretty hefty that you would have noticed the names mentioned in the write up on "the innocents" that it was a remake/rehash of Turning of the Screw.........(miss jessel and peter quint)

The Amityville Horror house wasn't haunted by Butch DeFeo's spirit, it was infested with the demon(s) that had led him to kill his family in the first place. And one of them looked like a pig with glowing eyes!
