The Toy: Highly collectable (236 figures in total) range of 2-inch tall fleshy wrestling figurines.
Sounds boring, right? Wrong! M.U.S.C.L.E. are mutant wrestlers from space, and they'll 'ave you, no sweat.
Possible Plot: Frankly, a concept this nutzoid needs to be a Troma-style exploitation flick.
Let's keep the storyline’s USP and have an evil collector discovering the tiny aliens and keeping them prisoner - only to discover there’s a whole army out to kick some ass.
Yeah, OK, it sounds like Small Soldiers meets Gremlins. Now, where’s Joe Dante’s number?

That is a picture of Transformers, not Gobots.
Mar 16th 2010, 10:05
Action Force was just the UK branding name for GI Joe... Essentially all the same characters
Mar 16th 2010, 10:46
Bucky O'Hare should be out there, its like TMNT but in space and alot like star wars, go google its awesome.
i think a good film would be exo squad which had a good cartoon at the time about giant piloted robots fighting aliens - awesome!
Mar 16th 2010, 11:16
Endaoconnor and LongshotIdeas are both correct Total Film, forshame, forshame!
Mar 16th 2010, 11:37
Manta Force... Get it sorted
Mar 16th 2010, 11:55
EXO Squad was freakin awesome! Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was good too. I loved how every awesoem cartoon in the 80's/early 90's involved vehicles and machinery!

centurions! i know its be mentioned but how the frick could you not put them in. i feel dirty in a bad way not the usual good way
Mar 16th 2010, 22:48
Gobots movie idea reminded me of the trailer Black 20 Studio did a few years back when Transformers came out. If you've not seen it, head to YouTube, it's fantastic. The truck transforming is amazing...although not totally realistic as none of the robots fall in three seconds like the actual cheap toys did!

M.U.S.C.L.E. Otherwise known as Kinnikuman in Japan ran for years as an animated TV show and had a few movies as well. Nice job with the research.
Mar 17th 2010, 0:37
He-Man was also a movie starring Dolf Lundgren.
Sheesh! Internet much?
Mar 17th 2010, 7:58
woah there! you mean Avatar WASN'T a big screen adaptation of Thundercats? gee, i guess i missed the point, best i go see it again. if this has happened to a lot of people, no wonder the box office is what it is!
Mar 17th 2010, 8:30
Don't mean to be a pedant, but they've replaced the original transformers image that they incorrectly posted yesterday with the correct Gobots image... so you're ALL RIGHT!:)
Mar 17th 2010, 18:58
MUSCLE sort-of got a cartoon on Cartoon Network a few years back...
Mar 20th 2010, 1:09
So what was it that made you think avatar was a thundercats movie? Was it the exploding planet? Their ship crashing and stranding them on an alien world? The ancient evil mummy? The magic sword? The battletank? Mutants? The f**king Roboburbles?! Mr bong, you smoke too much

Action force was G.I. Joe rebranded for the UK.
Mar 21st 2010, 20:14
Everyone knows the story of how Hasbro made toys for the Conan film, but were disgusted at the violence (in the film), so instead of shelving the whole production line, they created rebranded it as He-man. I thought i would repeat it for no reason whatsoever.

M.A.S.K. would be awesome but they'd probably give to Paul Anderson to ruin like he did Alien vs Predator!

Agreed on Mighty Max!
What about subuteo!
