The Google view: John Landis' horror classic was the first film to shoot in Piccadilly Circus since Michael Winner spoiled it for everybody in 1967 by setting off a smoke bomb and running away during the production of The Jokers.

This is pretty cool. A friend of mine recommende going on the London Film Locations bus tour which goes to all these places and shows clips from the films along with interesting anecdotes.

Some good shots of London of then and now. Can also recommend going on a walk of London Film Locations I did with a mate recently. The guide Kevin made it a fun couple of hours.
