25 vague reasons is a bit much, but I'll still watch it...BTW I did actually eat my own face when I accidently switched to an episode of Secks and the City, no jokes and lots of talking about nothing...painful.

OK Total Film. Is this good an Russell T Davies with Christopher Eccleston & David Tennant good? Or is it good as in last year 50% loved, but 50% thought it was a load of plot canyon filled, s***ky assistant having, cannot believe how quickly this has gone from must watch to don’t care (Heroes and Lost much), complete and utter B******s, good? Because, in case you couldn’t tell, we’re definitely in the used love,, now don’t care half. Unlike many we didn’t even cave and watch the Christmas special, well not more than about 5 minutes anyway. Matt Smith seems like he could be a great Dr, but his stories are terrible (a bit Sylvester McCoy) and Amy, (Barbie AND Amy eat a sandwich, so when you’re forever dressing you like a s***k we actually have legs to look at) is a really annoying assistant. Rory we could stomach, eventually, but she should have stayed dead. But then they would only have been able to use the same plot device to bring people / universe back from the dead twice in one episode and not 3 times. Also I get the hostility, if you never watch Dr. Who why waste your precious time posting negatively on a Dr. Who Thread? That isn’t ironic or pots & Kettles, as you should be able to tell, I used to watch Dr Who. I’ve watched it my whole life, when it was on and I’m genuinely curious as to whether the show is watchable again, because last season it wasn’t and all four of us here gave up on it. I’m not planning on wasting any more time watching to see if it gets any better and loses the sudden cheap effects look. Seriously the effects budget looked like it got cut in half after Russell T Davies left?!?

Yeh its a marmite conundrum isnt it? Like football, some people cheer their team on with passion and revelry.... whereas others don't really care for a bunch of r'tarded, tax-dodgin, wifebeating, get-out-of-prison-because-im-famous, secks offending millionaires kicking a ball around for an hour and a half

I'm definitely in the latter camp regarding football. As for Mr Quietlife, I'd rather watch you eating your own face. Maybe you could get the BBC to commission a 10 part drama series on it with David Dickinson playing the part of your nose.

So Quietlife doesn't like Dr Who.. So what? Leave the guy alone, he's only voicing an opinion

The reason Quietlife is getting so much stick (some of it way over the top) is because there's no need for the comment. If you're at work and people star talking about DW then sure it makes sense. Butif, as he says, he's NEVER liked DW why is he wasting his time reading about it and leaving comment. I'm sure there's plenty of you out there that hate Hanah Montana, do you waste your precious time reading about her? / Miley Cyrus?

I have watched Dr Who from Jon Pertwee days and my money is on Matt Smith (eventually!) being the best Dr ever.No doubt he has suffered with plots and workmanlike direction occasionally but horizons are expanding(!)and this series will see the team back on track and paying attention to detail-quality doesn't have to cost the earth

It wasn't THAT good. Just an average episode.. why does everyone get so worked up over Dr Who now? I know its more of a brand now but it really was pretty average... please Total Film, don't sell out to the f*****g BBC
