30 Awesome Moments In Awful Films
Every dog has its day

Transformers 2: Revenge Of The Fallen (2009)
The Awesome: A fender-bending tear-up between Optimus Prime and a handful of Decepticons, in which poor old Mother Nature takes as much of a pasting as the pumped-up Transformers. Shot in IMAX, it’s an action-sequence that’s truly worthy of the franchise.
Why It Couldn’t Save The Film: Shia LaBoeuf didn’t get killed off in it, despite doing his usual headless-chicken running throughout the battle.
If The Whole Film Had Been Like It: We’d be waiting for Part 3 with baited breath, rather than weary acceptance.

This whole article reads like it was written by a 13 year old boy... "Big boom, yaaaay!"... "Soppy stuff, booooooo!!".... "Nekkid ladies, hur hur hur!!!". You lot can do better than this twaddle which is way poorer than the subjects its trying to lampoon.

Same here Jeffbiscuits, a very underrated horror gem. Plus how dare you mock Transformers, I have been a Transformers fan from childhood and I thought it was a load of fun.

Jeffbiscuits is right, Exorcist III is really under-rated! This is the best jump in cinema history

How old is George Wales?! This sounded like a good article but it was poorly executed... Poor writing and also some of those films aren't exactly awful.... I was hoping for an insight into some movies I've deliberately left as known rubbish but have a decent scene in them...

what a s**t list this is How can you call the titanic awful when it won loads of oscars. Same as tropic thunder and quantum of solace there not masterpiece's but there not awful.

The Exorcist 3 is brilliant. Titanic is also a great film but people seem to dislike it because they say 'it's overrated' when in fact it is now underrated. Funny that the majority of these films got good reviews of Total Film. An awful film would surely have been given one star.

I know what you're trying to do, but the operative word here is 'trying'. read more Q magazine, they do it as it should be done.

What about Die another Day? The brilliant sequence in which Bond is captured and tortured by North Koreans could of been a good half an hour of Bond looking broken and ...human What ruins it? Madonnas 'musical waterboard' of a theme tune, CGI surfing, Madonna acting, Invisible car (!), MAdonna, Ice palace, Madonna..

Ugh. If you're going to say how great Weird Al Yankovic is in #29, you could at least spell his surname correctly. Especially since it's in the frozen frame of the video above it. And something 'bears' a resemblance, it doesn't 'bare' resemblance (#27). Homophone fail.

George, you do realise that the entire 'laser scene' from Resident Evil is totally ripped off from Vincenzo Natali's Cube, don't you? Anderson admits as much in his audio commentary. Oh, and based on your liberal but incorrect usage of the term 'camp' I think someone needs to clarify that the word you're confusing it with is 's**t'. There's a huge difference; for example - Flash Gordon is camp, but Batman & Robin is s**t. Capice?

Ummm, didn't you give Transformers 2 four stars? It was 'awful' but several of these other films aren't awful at all, not brilliant but the article doesn't make much sense... Still enjoyed it though!

That's the only awesome moment in X3? What about little tiny Ellen Page pwning the Juggernaut? If that's not awesome, I don't know what is!

Yeah, another vote for Exorcist 3 as being an underrated gem - check out the second one if you want an awful sequel. Oh, and FFS do some basic research. The exorcism sequence was famously tacked on by the studio, who demanded an alternate climax. All because they didn't want to release a movie titled Exorcist 3 that didn't have an exorcism (a title they had also imposed). And yeah, it does seem rather dumb to be calling movies "awful" when TF gives them 3, 4 or 5 star reviews on the same damn website...

Well I apologise as this will offend lots of people, but Titanic bored me to tears. When it came on the telly and my demented parents wanted to watch it "because its good!" I went upstairs and waited for nay on 2 hours, went downstairs and watched the bit where loads of people die, then watch Leonardo Di Caprio freeze (because it's funny), laugh really loud to get my mum throwing her box of tissues at me, then leave. Because that 20 minutes it's the only good bit in it. The rest of the list is fairly good I guess. Good meaning true. But I can thing of WAAAAAAAY worse films with WAAAAAAY more amazing good parts.

What is up with this list, for starters Tropic Thunder is a great film, its actually a funny comedy which is extremely hard to find lately, just look at The Other Guys and Get Him To The Greek for example. Titanic is a good film too, Its one of Cameron's best films, a lot better than that Avatar nonsense (which you gave 5 stars, why?). The Exorcist 3 is a decent horror film too. In fact a lot of these film are relativley good, only a couple of which i would consider to be awful. You could have made a much better list than this. Also Lindsay Lohan pole-dancing is never a good thing.

I resent the badmouthing of Quantum of Solace. The stunts were incredible throughout, and the action may have improved over Casino Royale (the roof chase? the opera house? cat-man swinging the axe into his own foot?) But moreover, the plot was thoroughly deep, well-thought and, yes, relevant. Maybe it's not 100% truthful to a real energy crisis, but it's leaps and bounds above other bond plots and many other movie plots. Meanwhile, Craig plays a great reserved, damaged and sometimes steadfast Bond, just like in Casino Royale. The car chase is only the beginning, people.
