A masseuse loses her mojo while a dentist regains his in Lynn Shelton’s latest dramedy – a relatively ‘bigger’ movie than Humpday or Your Sister’s Sister, but retaining the same intimacy.
There’s lots of empathy to go round, too, especially in the case of skin-therapist Abby (Rosemarie DeWitt, terrific), whose pain is delicately explored as she becomes inexplicably turned off by physical contact.
True, things do get a bit, well, touchy feely. But the chuckle muscles get a good seeing-to as well, via a Woody Allen-esque parallel plot that sees Abby’s miracle-dentist brother Paul (Josh Pais) expanding his horizons.
‘Best Reiki scene ever’ may not sound like a spectacular recommendation, but trust us, it’s a winner.

Of course, in the real world, most porn addicts wouldn't bag someone like Johansson. At least I think. You'd more than likely end up with the 50 cigs a day 30 year old with 17 kids who looks like she's 55.

I truly cannot give a s**t when people say Radcliffe is good in a movie, it is physically impossible.

Fruitvale won the Grand Jury Prize and should definitely be number one; i was there in the theater during the first showing of it and everybody was in tears.
