The Monkey: Kong
Why So Cool? The granddaddy of all movie monkeys, Kong is both a lover and a fighter… gentle at heart, but more than willing to crack a few skulls if his loved ones are put at risk. Granted, his over-protective nature might be a bit suffocating for some tastes, but if you like your apes strong and simple, you won’t find a more loyal specimen than Kong.
If He Was Our Friend: We’d make sure he was out of the house if we had a girl visiting. He can get a bit jealous when it comes to women…

George Wales finds Ari from Planet of the Apes "hot". I suppose if latter day Michael Jackson does it for you... Total Film, I love you, but why do you keep letting this guy make lists? He's s**t.

@Durden They're not ranked in any particular order - surely you can't mean Ed when you refer to s****y comedies? Poor Ed!

And congratulations... You managed to forget the two coolest monkeys in movie history : Link from LINK (whose favorite passtime is watching Elisabeth Shue under the shower, proving once again how smart these animals are!) and the capucine monkey from George Romero's Monkey Shines. Also, Peter Jackson's Kong deserves a mention!

No offence, but this list only contains 10 monkeys the rest are apes and to be honest even including apes there was a whole lot of barrel scraping.
