You just can't beat a good list of infectious diseases. Even if some of them are fictional. By the way, there's only one s in pus.

How come Captain Trips is so low on the list? You said it, it killed 99% of the world's population!

@FBLVenegas - Key here was gruesomeness, and Captain Trips just isn't as gross as the diseases higher on the list.

I am Legend was such a wasted opportunity. An impressive opening ruined by bad CGI and a cop out ending. Do they read books in Hollywood?

I'd include the virus from "Perfect Sense", having your senses slowly shut down just after meeting Eva Green is pretty harsh in my book! I also blame Josh Winning for every single one of these diseases/viruses/infections real or fake (Josh always seems to get blamed by someone for something so thought I'd be the first, not that I ever agree with the chuffin' morons that make those comments and this is completely sarcastic!)

@DivTheWookie - Nice one on Perfect Sense, that one passed me by. (And yes, I'm the monkey that transported Motaba to the US, but don't tell anyone.)

I'm gonna be a stickler. :) Splinter wasn't a virus, it was a mold. Still, happy to see it get some attention. Such an underrated movie.

Haven't seen a bunch of these! I imagine that's because many-a-virus movie is a low budget schlock fest, but that's what I'm in the mood for. Going to start with Splinter, sounds like fun. (also @DivTheWookie your comment made me laugh)

"Carriers" (#17) wasn't just bloody skin and open sores. Nobody knows exactly what it does, but given the evidence in the film (coughing up blood, doctor asks "Is she bleeding from the ears?"), my theory is that as an airborne virus, it gets into your lungs and rots you from the inside out, basically. The discoloured skin is jut indicative of the capillary walls dissolving, and is a "you're way too late" sign. Just my theory, though.

If it's true that Danny Boyle is adamant that 28 days later is not a horror film, then he is clearly an moron.

Dario Argento's Demons. I'd have that in, a classic.

Ahh Splinter, that was a pretty messed up film. Loved it! Also love the bat creatures from Daybreakers. Great movies on this list, haven't seen some of the newer ones though, will have to check the out.
