4/30. "Arizona Dream" is so odd but I love it. Also "This Boy's Life', "Cry Baby", "Six Degrees of Separation" are all worth a watch.

You should check out 'Under Suspicion'. It stars Morgan Freeman, Gene Hackman, Thomas Jane and Monica Bellucci. Set in a single night at a police station, its feels more like a stage play, a really good stage play.

I'm always tempted to mention Ravenous in these obscure lists, with Guy Pearce, Jeffrey Jones, and Robert Carlyle on top form in a hugely underrated movie. Damon Albarn also provided the great soundtrack.

Beautiful Girls is one of my favourite movies. Great cast, great atmosphere and great soundtrack. Plus, Natalie Portman is nothing short of phenomenal as Marty.

Even if TF do overrate Heath Ledger, Two Hands is a freakin' stellar film. It has all the quality of Animal Kingdom (another solid Aussie crime flick), but without any of the international acclaim. And it is infinitely quotable. I just can't get behind the Six Degrees of Separation inclusion though. I saw it when it came out, and it is very, very average.

You forgot about The Bang Bang Club. A pivotal time of South Africa's history and the fight to bring the atrocities to the rest of the world. Ryan Phillippe, Malin Akerman and Taylor Kitsch proving he actually can act.

I've heard of maybe five of these... and I saw two of them. "The Words" was so well acted by everyone with such a compelling story that I was my streaming tears by the time it finished. Plus as someone who aspires to be a published writer, I could relate. Such a good movie! Coincidentally, "Less than Zero" was a tear-jerker too... for entirely different reasons. *shudder* Although I was a fan of his beforehand, it is the reason I dove headfirst into Robert Downey Jr.'s career.

Zero Effect is a great film and from everyone I have ever spoken to, I seem to be the only person who has seen it.

Some of these films aren't small, unheard of films. This Boys Life got a lot of press when it was released as it was based on the semi-biographical book. Hunger was massively publicised on release too. I like a lot of these actor's early TV works too. Joseph Gordon-Levitt was in an episode of Quantum Leap at the tender age of 10 in Permananet Wave. Daniel Craig, Catherine Zeta Jones, and several others were all in Young Indiana Jones in the early 90s too. Could make for an interesting article too (although ITV kind of did similar with 'Before they were famous').

I've seen some of those. There are others, I've heard of, but haven't seem. There are others, I've heard of, but not seen. Finally, there are the one#s I've never heard ofm but have seen. Kidding. As for what i would put in this category, I recommend the brilliant "short eyes" with Bruce Davison.

A lot of the films should be on the list, but some of them aren't that obscure. I can't believe that most serious film fans have missed films such as Less Than Zero, Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead, Beautiful Girls, Nobody’s Fool, and Cry-Baby.
