In "Se7en", when I watched it the first time, I thought the cut-out dead fetus of Tracy's (Paltrow) baby is gonna be in the box...

Im film stupid. This helps, its a good thing. It means I can enjoy mediocre fare and still be surprised. But even I saw the twist in 6th sense a mile away! I had it from the poster! He even got shot in the first 5 minutes.

I'm willing to bet huge sums of small amounts of copper, that Mr Wales didn't guess the endings to the majority of these and was as suprised as the rest of us. I think the best types of twists are the ones that you don't know to look for. The problem with Shyamalan was that after the praise he got for the Sixth Sense's twist, he thought that all his films had to have one in. And i hate it when a review of a new movie says something along the lines of 'and the twist at the end will blow you away'.......I'd rather not know there was a twist coming. Isn't that the whole point of it?

in Saw 3, they showed that Jigsaw slowed his breathing and heart rate way down, w/ some drug or other, so fair enough that the guys in the first one didn't hear him breathing, i thought that was a great twist. On another note, it's annoying that there are so many 'split personality'/'killer was him all along' twists knocking about

FIlms are generally running out of twist endings - the 'it was in his mind one' being the most common and now most boring one yet. My favourite ones of recent times have to be from 'Crazy Stupid Love', with the teacher being his one night stand, Nana actually being the daughter, etc etc. Not often you get them in romantic comedies, made the film far more enjoyable to watch.

Shyamalan king of the twist endings. I loved them all! Special and Original in my humble opinion.
