The Unlikely Hero: Guitar-strumming nerdlinger with a proclivity for mooning around over doe-eyed indie chicks.
Wimpiest Moment: His reluctance to fight a girl. Come on Scott, that one’s a gimmy, surely?
Actually Pretty Bad-Ass: All seven victories kind of confirm he’s no pushover, but the scene where Scott knocks seven bells out of Chris Evans’ posse of stunt doubles is the pick of the bunch. Take that pretty boy(s)!
If It Was Real Life: Lets not kid ourselves, it wouldn’t take seven ex-boyfriends to deal with a bedroom-dwelling lightweight like Scott…

Noah Wyle's Librarian in The Librarian series. Rose McGowan in Planet Terror.. she may not be a "hero" but her Cherry with the automatic calibre is, by far, the best version of wimp turned hero.

Jack Burton in 'Big Trouble In Little China', the man thinks he's the hero, too dumb to realise he's actually the cowardly sidekick! Genius. I think you could make a case for Han Solo too, bit of a coward, or a maybe he's just 'survival centred' Robert Downey Jr in 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' Owen Wilson in 'Shanghai Noon'

What about the original karate kid. What a wimp. In reality, he never would of made it to the contest, being in a wheelchair and all.
