I would have thought that Taxidermia would have been in there somewhere - it's by far the most disturbing film I've seen in years, including most of those on your list.

What about the beating scene in "The Killer Inside me?" Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba. I still can't get that scene out of my head.

"Man Bites Dog": I saw most of that film; in my opinion the rape wasn't the most disturbing part of it. The family-killing, especially the suffocation of that child, was the most disturbing.

my parents punished my sister and i for being bad when we were little by making us watch the passion of the christ. needless to say, that is not a movie for a 12 year old who was ultra sensitive to everything....im scarred for life. ive seen 95% of these movies though, they're all real great....that should concern me i think...hah
