Why So Unmissable? Like all Christmas tales should be, this one’s creepier than your granddad trying on lipstick. John Hurt plays a retired, strictly sceptical lecturer who revisits the hotel that he and his wife went to when they were first married. There, ghostly goings-ons soon start to occur.
When’s It On? Christmas Eve, BBC2
Tenuous Film Connection? Uh, it’s John Hurt. The legend. Made a few movies?

Mel Gibson doc is now at number 1 on my Christmas watch list. And North by Northwest is my favourite Hitchcock film. Doesn't Stephen Fry look like one of the les popular students at Hogwarts in that picture

How could you forget to mention The Muppet Christmas Carol? As far as I'm concerned, it isn't a proper Christmas without that film.

Shooting Stars.... brilliant, but that's about all that grabbed my attention amongst all the repeated movies and over-rated comedians.... oh and Dr. Who is rubbish... loved by kids and their parents... it's just so... BBC...

It won't be Christmas without falling asleep in front of one of the bad James Bond movies (ie any of Roger Moore's)
