The moment: One of the more iconic instances of Joker playing the familiar old ‘bang flag’ pistol gag: Jack Nicholson turning it on himself during the dizzying climax to Tim Burton’s first foray into Gotham.

Why so serious: The very idea of feigning suicide as a way to mock an already terrified kidnap victim (in this case, Kim Basinger’s Vicki Vale) is beyond twisted. In other words, it's vintage Joker.

      there should have definatly been the joke that he tells batman over the phone in Archam Asylum, thats a deffinate "s**t your pants moment"
