The Mad Moment: An Oscar nomination for 'Blame Canada' brought a touch of counter-cultural craziness to the 2000 ceremony.
As if Robin Williams' on-stage performance of the song wasn't bonkers enough, South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker dragged up as J. Lo and Gwyneth, and look fabulous, dahling.
How It Should Have Happened: They should have come as Terence and Philip and swore and farted throughout the ceremony - especially when Phil Collins beat them to the Oscar.

The Oscars are a sham, I for one will not be staying up to watch The King's Speech sweeping the board. Worst Film Ever.

I think Gwyneth Paltrow winning was mad in itself, never mind the crying. The fact that her parents were Hollywood Royalty it was always going to tip in her favour. Backhanders all round.
