Tom Cruise gives sales of Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses a boost in this ‘80s classic. He was responsible for a sudden surge in sales of the shades, with 360,000 pairs of Wayfarers shifted the year of Risky Business' release. Appearances in Moonlighting and The Breakfast Club followed. Cheers, Tom.

RE #5: Russo was in "Thor". Admittedly for about five seconds, but she was there.

You can't include Bond! Simply because its all about the product placement! What watch he wears, what laptop he uses, what car he drives, what sunglasses etc... Its a part of each Bond film. Bond WITHOUT product placement would be missing something. Also you should've included Hackers! I've seen that ONCE and all I can remember is COCA-COLA! BUY COCA-COLA!

Inspector gadget always sticks in my head. A yahoo billboard falls and as it does all we hear is 'YAAAAAHHHHOOOOO' not the films lowest point perhaps but very very bad.

Surely Pizza Hut and Budweiser from 'The Invention of Lying' gets a look in. The only way they got the budget extended to finish the film was from the cash they threw at it I believe.

There's another good one in Spiderman where he is testing his webshooting in his room and he places a can of Dr Pepper on the cabinet which fills the screen. There's also some stupid flag waving behind him all the time as if we've forgotten where Spiderman is based.

Nothing from "Men In Black II"? That movie was full of product placement. Mercedes, Victoria's Secret, Ray Ban, Playstation, Mountain Dew, Burger King, eBay, etc.

If anything, "Superman II" should have been mentioned here instead of "Superman IV". Remember when Superman threw General Zod at that huge Coca Cola sign? I think there was also a part where Superman or one of the villains was thrown into a Marlboro truck.

No 28 Days Later with the blatantly obvious National Lottery placements. There's more Crossed Blue Fingers then there are Zombies. I'm sorry I mean Infected.

I'm always happy when I see The Truman Show mentioned on a website I like, especially in a positive light. I love that movie.

The Bourne trilogy isnt without its PP...things like The Guardian, limp-wristed liberals facing extreme danger? Yeh right,! Bourne Supremacy? I was half-tempted to buy a knackered Russian taxi on the basis of that film...disgusting!

Pretty much every Bay movie should be in here; the man takes it to a whole new level. Also, the Matrix sequels were pretty bad as well from what I remember.

Paul Giammatti's Win Win, good film though it is, has some blatant product placement in it. He visits a friend's house who just happens to be playing Wii Tennis and tells him just what a wonderful game it is. Not only that, they repeat the scene a bit later on.

For my money The Island features the most overt product placement I've ever seen in a film, well, except for The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. The scene in which Ewan McGragor puts a vodka bottle down on a counter filling the frame for a good 2 seconds is so obvious it's laughable.

Don't really know if you should have Days of Thunder in here for the simple fact theat the advertisments on the driver's jumpsuits and cars are a 100% realistic aspect of NASCAR and its culture. Not having them would be like Bull Durham without ads on the baseball field fences or the US Hockey team not wearing red, white, and blue in Miracle.

You also missed another obvious one; Return of The Killer Tomatoes. George Clooney actually breaks character, turns to the camera, and pitches several products, including Pepsi and Honda four-wheelers.

In Casino Royale, there's SONY product placement everywhere too. Both Bond & Vesper use SonyEricsson phones, plus her camera is a Sony, and I believe Bond's laptop is a Vaio.

There is blatant shots of budwieser and a motorbike joust in front of two big pepsi/mountain dew billboards in the film Torque. Kinda adds to the guilty pleasure of it though.

I can stand marketing much better if it helps the movie, as in characterization. But making a product some strangely convenient solution for the film. I appreciate Bond, some people just want to be Bond. I like the Converse and everything Iron Man because it modernizes, but I will still go back to the movie for the action and characters- and I still can't eat Burger King. But Fantastic Four, Blade, Bay films- all ridiculous if that isn't what the story is. I'm still waiting for my damn Autobot Vs. Decepticon movie.

Not strictly in movie PP, and more than a little meta - for your viewing pleasure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdQzGPz-wLM The resignation and disgust on Liam Neeson's face is priceless. Now imagine if they'd done this with Schindler?

No Brit has heard of a Twinky before Zombieland? Wayne's World "whiffs of selling out"? Lastly, Surf Ninjas? Seriously? You went down that road? Wow.

Wayne's World 'whiffs of selling out'?! Surely that was the whole point and joke of that bit! I don't think that should be included! And a film that was missed out: Big! He was asked the question, coke or pepsi? Answered pepsi and was then given a pepsi vending machine!
