Die Hard In A… Jakarta Tower Block.
What Would John McClane Do: McClane ain’t no fool – he would have scaled the entire building from the outside and worked his way down from the top, starting with the Big Bad.
Take off the head, that’s half the job.

Okay at least a quarter of these are inspired by Die Hard, the rest is just weak sauce. If this feature was a movie it would be called Try Hard 2: Try Harder.

Wasn't Speed 2 originally intended as a Die Hard script?

I couldn't be bothered counting, but i wonder who was in the most of these; Lundgren or Siegal?

This list is awful. Why don't you set the number of the list based on the number of films you find which actually fit the title? Over half the films listed are absurd. No one has ever called The Transporter, "Die h*****n a BMW." That doesn't even make sense. Daylight has no plot similarities with Die Hard except that something bad happens and someone has to save the day.

i agree with the eminent ranters above. the die hard pattern was originally that the hero was just minding his business when the badguys take over. the cat and mouse chase develops into guerilla war until the final reel, when the heroes wife/daughter/gerbil gets specifically taken hostage etc. an enclosed space of some kind has to be involved in which all the action occurs. there, hope that helps, i'll send my bill, shall i TF? i've got a good chance if you were willing to pay someone for this farrago of a feature.
also, i've just noticed that Steven seagal started to balloon after he spent a lot of Under Siege in a kitchen. How different straight to video thriller history would be if it had been a salad bar.

Isn't Die Hard spliced with the towering inferno minus the terrorists just the towering inferno?
