The pic for Delicatessen is from The City Of Lost Children. Liked the feature though. Why have I never heard of Miracle Mile? I want to see it.

Great list! Besides some Zombie-classics it's nice to see "The Quiet Earth" here. Also kudos on "Pontypool" .. a great gem (I wish they'd make a movie about the post-credits scene). And I really need to check out "Miracle Mile" and "Night of the Comet". A small addition I would make: "Army of Darkness", the alternate ending. I thought it had potential for a movie that has never been made.

What about Knowing? Classic turn of the millennium Cage.. It should replace Escape from New York, which really only shows a distopian future as opposed to a full on Apocalypse.

I think your friend's brother is either a manw***e or a dealer in human organs. Possibly a loan shark.

Since when does Mad Max considered to be a post apocalyptic film? Dystopian? Sure. But only the sequels take place in an actually post apocalyptic world.

"Mega-City One, which looks every bit like the comics." As a Looooong time reader of Dredd, I can Confirm that it looks NOTHING like the comics!!!

What about Dark City (1998)? An apocalypse that creates society a new and does away with film noir? That movie's awesome!

This years Oblivion had some decent visuals, buried skyscrapers, a half -destroyed moon still visible in the sky etc. It was different from the generic dust and rust of post apocalytic movies. I don't know why the movie isnt liked, I thought it was good.
