    The Dark Knight? Really? Also Star Trek 2009 - "We’re starting again, and this time it will be fun." Yeah, the original films were fun, JJ's was a pile of dull subpar CGI s**t.

    Why so down on Bay? Would you rather watch a French couple mumble into a saucepan for 2 hours or a big cheesy epic like Transformers or The Rock? (Criminally omitted from the list). Admittedly, his Bad boys & Tranformers sequels are rubbish but at least he's not afraid to entertain. Oh and Spiderman 2 is better than the first one, Doc Ock is the best villian of the series! No True Lies?

    ILM didn't do the effects for Ghostbusters. They were working on "Temple of Doom" at the time. Ken Ralston did them. He was a veteran of ILM from the Star Wars days, but he'd left by 1984.

    @DarjeelingLover What film were YOU watching then?! Sure, the original films (well, "II", "IV", "V" - yes, I liked "V" - and "VI"...and then it was downhill from then) were okay, but "Nemesis" proved that "ST" needed a spark. The '09 reboot brought it with vigour and with scarcely a dull moment to be seen... Also, why is "Raiders of the Lost Ark" so high? It wasn't that good...none of the Indiana Jones films were (especially #4, but we don't talk about that one, do we? Haha). Meanwhile, I do agree with the placing of "Star Wars" and "Inception". Nice one, Mr Kinnear.

    The top 10 is composed by a number of my favourite films, so I cant really complain about that, however why is Wall E in this list? Granted the CGI is beautiful and Disney does manage to pull off quite the feat in making a metal box lovable....nigh 'cute'. But apart from that I found it thought it was a huge dissapointment considering the hype around it. The faded as soon as the irritating humans entered the shot and it just lacked any of the attatchment I felt toward previous Disney films like 'Finding Nemo', 'Monsters Inc', 'UP' or the fantastic 'Toy Story' trilogy.

    Whether you like the choices on this list or not, the fact is it's a list about Blockbusters and THAT is defined by box office takings, not critical review. I didn't think much of WALL-E either but it was immensely popular with the kids and thus, did well at the box office.

    errr.... Star Wars came out at Christmas 1977 and Raiders OF The Lost Ark came out at Christmas 1981 - how are these 'SUMMER' blockbusters?!?!?!?

    Pedantic as f**k, I know, but Die Hard is set on Christmas Eve but was for some reason released in the US in July 1988 and British cinemas in February 1989. What's all that about? Surely it qualifies as the best Christmas movie ever.
