I'm surprised that neither Billy, Collin, nor Dignam from the Departed were on this list. I thought one of them would be

Basically lists every cop in the history of cinema 'who doesn't play by the rules'.

Interesting list, even though some classic old-school cops are missing: Buford T. Justice (Jackie Gleason) in "Smokey and the Bandit" or Dirty Lyle (Ernest Borgnine) in "Convoy". How about the original Rooster Cogburn (in True Grit and its sequel). And also Abel Turner (Samuel L. Jackson) in Lakeview Terrace. Of course, the list of movie-cops is endless, so it's hard to choose. If you wanna see a crazy movie about a cop, you should check out the trailer for "Samurai Cop" on YouTube....so bad it's good...or isn't it??!!

Richard Gere in Internal Affairs deserves a mention. A man who thinks with his weapon and his gun. Watch it.

Riggs on a ledge is pretty nutty in Lethal Weapon (and Gibbs is brilliant in that scene), but it doesn't pip the 'Riggs standing in the open while sniper shoots at him so he can gauge his target' moment.

No Mr. Orange mention?? And what about the ultimate cliche of Brian Bosworth in Stone Cold? Lt Vince Hanna from Heat? Gay Perry from Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? Leaving out the T-1000 from T2 on a technicality even though he portrays a cop for most of the movie?? And the biggest travesty of all, where are the cast of COP LAND!!!??? C'mon guys, you're better than this. I'd even go so far as to claim leaving out The Rock for his role in Fast Five is bad, but I'd say thats more of an "in my opinion" shout than anything else...
