Hahaha - No. I don't know how much work went into this, but if it was a lot then someone has too much time on their hands and too little to do with it. This is the most pointless, baseless, slapdash list of rubbish I've ever seen on this site, and that's not even getting into the "Sounds like" section. I mean really, does ever single list on this site have to have the same 'desperately trying to be funny but missing the mark so horrifically it's not even so bad it's good' afterthought? This is just trash.

Sandrine you clearly have too much time on your hands and too little to do with it as well with that comment! But ye the sounds likes aren't exactly funny though. Not a bad list TotalFilm, some good choices, but how can you choose 50 great names without including Arnold Schawarzenegger??! Outrageous. Without a doubt he should have been number 1! Grrrr...

"Cruise was only ever going to be an actor with such a belting name..." You are aware that his last name is actually Mapother, right? Being a movie mag and all....

What a bizarre list, TF. I would have suggested adding Kurtwood Smith in there, if only because he's the only person in the world called Kurtwood (which I think I read in your mag). Also, Armie Hammer sounds like a brand of toothpaste. Might I suggest a list compiling the more ridiculous sounding monikers? There seems to have been a rash of ludicrously named actors of late; Kodi Smit-McPhee, for instance, who sounds like a law firm.

Odd list, agreed. Who the hell is Lee Pace? A better two-syllable name is Bob Peck. He also hunted dinosaurs which makes him instantly cool.

You've got Joaquin Phoenix even though his brother has a way cooler name; River Phoenix.

Slim Pickins was the first that came to my mind. I find some of the names on here though rather 'normal'.

There's Kevin Bacon missing....everything is better with Bacon. And, not actually a full-time actor (was great in a "Columbo"-Episode though), how about Johnny Cash?
