Eh, where's the whole interrogation scene? arguably the best scene of TDK. the interaction between Gordon and Joker and then Batman/Joker mindgames. Amazing stuff

I've just noticed this but look at the name of the officer who received the Joker calling card. J Kerr. Subtle.

A really good article but you are missing out several keys scenes from The Dark Knight. Its easily the best film I saw that year, and probably the best film I saw that decade!!! Its deserves more..... 1. The Batmobile converts to the Batbike and then self destructs --- by far the best and coolest batman scene ever 2. Lamborghini scenes in the Dark Knight --- too cool for school 3. Batman apprehends the Asian money launderer scene in Shanghai... its sooo cool when the plane winches them out of the building 4. Batman's 1st scene in the Dark Knight --- Plus the scarecrow's lines were cool. The batman-wannabees were using guns and the scarecrow is like 'that's not him'. And then the the Batmobile appears, intimidates and then Batman finally appears useing his devices to bend an assailant's gun .....too good!!! 5. The scene where the Joker holds a knife to Rachel Dawes mouth and says 'you have a little fight in you, I like that' and then Batman appears and says 'then you're gonna love me' Man, I cant wait until next summer....pls totalfilm no more spoilers for The Dark Knight Rises and Man of Steel...

Good one Jeffamania, I would've taken out any references to Batman and Robin and Batman Forever (as they are both s**t.. watch Forever now.. it has not aged well) and put those in instead. I'm only really a fan of Batman Returns and then the Nolan ones. Good feature though

BS. This was just an excuse to list every single f_cking scene from Nolan films.

I really enjoyed this feature, well done George on not just rushing it out and I agree with nearly all of the entries. (Not a fan of Schumacher's Batman but appreciate that some people are). Personally, I could actually list every "f_cking scene" from any Nolan film in a list of greats so totally understand their dominance here. With Memento, Insomnia and Inception amongst my all time favourites I am very excited to see what he moves to after Gotham.

The best 2 scenes from TDK were the Batman/Joker interrogation scene (which someone has already mentioned) and the "agent of chaos" Joker/Harvey scene followed by the hospital explosion which could be 2 seperate scenes i suppose. Shame to see these not included.

maybe this should have been top 60 moments lol i would have had a couple of others like heath ledgers joker leaving the hospital in the nurse outfit and blowing it up. another would be jack nicholsons joker pulling that extremely long pistol out of his trousers and shooting down the bat plane, overall i would agree with the top 50 list

i like the scene in batman forever, where kidman's dr. chase summoned batman to seduce him..and batman said, "it's the car, right? chicks love the car." and when towards the end, batman pretends to be disappointed by chase's admission that she's more into bruce than him, now...it ends with the bats showing an uncharacteristic wide grin. personally, i think kilmer's a very fine batman/bruce and the movie is a fine one, except for tommy lee jones's misguided performance as two-face.

too few Keaton moments - "let's get nuts" leading into "ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight". Woefully missed.

Agree with no. 1 on the list but I've seen it mentioned here and I agree that the Interrigation scene with the Joker is one of his best and I just love the introduction of the Bat-Pod bursting out of the damaged Tumbler in The Dark Knight. Also, when Batman dives of that building in Tokyo (I think) is great.

Best scene for me? Where Selena Kyle and Bruce Wayne dances in Batman Returns. It is a short and sexy scene wonderfully played by Keaton and Pfeiffer. It really pays off with their "mistletoe" exchange and the Face to Face song playing in the background by Siouxsie and the Banshees. Classic.

Yes, agree completely with FBM Sales. Keaton had great moments, especially the best Wayne moments.

Keaton was a better Batman, I like Bail but he tends to overract and the voice gets on my pecks. The closing scene to the first film is not only the best Batman scene of any film but one of the best hero shots ever. The two Nolan films were both five stars but the Burton ones were still better, I agree though this seems to be pretty much all Nolan this list, you referred to the Schumacher films but not the closing scene of Batman? Also what about the one where Wayne is in his study waiting for the bat signal from Batman Returns? That scene perfectly sums up how much the Batman alter ego is consuming him. Ps Maggie Gyllenhaal was the worst female lead of all the Batman films narrowly beating the dreadful Nicole Kidman.

the round of applause was the greatest and most genius scene in Batman History, kinda hope Bane will have something better, but heath ledger made his very own Joker

Good article, I would have liked to see more of Phantasm on the list, its sadly ignored by many, oh and as for Batman and Robin, well The Batgirl suit up shouldn't be here, just like Batgirl shouldn't have either in the film!

Good list but the scene in Batman (1989) when The Joker dispatches a rival gang boss with a hand buzzer should have made it in...."OOOOh I got a live one here......."
