The Movie: This time, the central romance isn’t just threatened by a father’s personal taste, but rather the rival politics of two patriarchs, one a supporter of the British Raj, and the other an activist working against the regime. Nobody said the course of true love ever ran smooth…
Stand-Out Moment: The scene in which the British troops (acting on a tip-off from the Raj-supporting father) track down the activist, and kill him in his home.

some "interesting" choices here. but still nice to see a hindi movie based feature on TF. how about south indian cinema? although north india has more exposure, the south indian movies are better technically and are more willing to take risks in their storytelling. notable absentees? Guide, Mera Naam Joker, Angoor, Mirch Masala (an many more...)

Nice list. I've seen 21 of them. I now am determined to see all 50. Though I DO think you overlooked some - Taal, Don (the original from '78), Deewaar, Ghajini, Zanjeer, Lajja, and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, for instance.
