Skipped straight to #1 to make sure the end of Blair Witch was the best found footage moment ever. Wasn't. FAIL!

There seemed to be a glut of cheap found footage knock-offs during 2011/12

The whole of Cannibal Holocaust could really be at No.1, but the most shocking bit for me was the woman on a stick bit, I looked away at the infamous turtle scene

I remember the first time i saw the Signs one - sent (and still sends) shivers down my spine. Just shows how far Shyamalan has fallen when you compare it to his recent stuff. Strange that the majority of found-footage films are horrors. You'd hope there could be someone ou there who could bring us something new, a-la Chronicle.

Great list although the climax of chronicle should of been up there . the scene involving the car which is hurtling towards Andrew is amazing

Dark Knight (2008) Did anyone else remember the footage received by Gotham City News of the Joker torturing and killing a Batman wannabe prior to hanging his body outside the mayor's office? #GrossOversight

Unfortunately just goes to show what an overused subgenre this has become - there are some seriously lame sequences from some seriously derivative and wretchedly unimaginative movies here. A Top 20 might have tightened things up a little. And in what sense is your number 2 sequence found footage? Clue - it isn't.

Ah nice to see Lake Mungo in there - a truly thoughtful take on teenagers and secrecy, and the scariest (or maybe unsettling/disturbing is a better word for it) found-footage movie I've ever seen. Its really not well known enough.

Glad to see 'The Tunnel' on here! I watched it alone a while ago and deeply regret the alone part! I was caught out by just how gripping it was. But Rec is still my favourite horror film of this type, the only film I think ive ever let out a yelp at

No love for the home invasion tape from Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer? That scene was pretty damn unsettling.

The footage of the missing crew of the Event Horizon should definitely have been on that list - Liberate Te Ex Inferis!

Megan is missing is the most horrendous, upsetting film i have ever seen. Images are burnt in my brain forever. The only film i've ever seen that i wish i could un-see.
