There is a warning (not sure if there was one prior to your writing) What's Discworld?

James and Oliver Phelps are not natural red-heads. They have been dying their hair for 10 years now specifically for the roles. Please get your information correct. A glance at premiere photos would have confirmed this. They are neither wooden nor irritating. And please go through the entire 50 characters and correct your atrocious grammar! No, Know..... There's a difference. See if you can work out when you should use which. Or witch if you prefer.

Didn't see another Harry Potter best of coming... Agree with your Discworld comments, also The Worst Witch did the school environment thing decades before Potter. Still i did like the books and the films. Both grew stronger as time went on (although Prisoner of Azkaban was the best of the lot).

Molly Weasely's battle cry was not pinched from Aliens. "Get away from her, you b***h!" is not the same as "Not my daughter! You b***h!"

Or..."The first 50 Potter characters that we could think of, ordered arbitrarily (save the top 10) and littered with spoilers" Poor effort.

Where is Kreacher and Professor Flitwick? Although the house elf has a small part, he represents one of the best CGI characters in the series. How can Peeves be included when the character is not actually in the film. I would also like to highlight that Grindelwald's miniscule role in the final two movies was criminal

@bencobra it never says it was just taking the best characters from the movies. I agree that Flitwick should be on the list (maybe taking the place of Arthur Weasley)

I have to laugh at those that are complaining about spoilers. The book has been out for 4 years if you havent read it by now and just rely on the movie you deserve the spoilers and really have no room to talk. This was well done snape being number 1 was perfect i love him :D

Whoever the author of this is obviously has no judge of talent. The Phelps are fantastic actor and do the twins brilliantly, so now I must act like you mother and tell you "If you have nothing good to say, say nothing." Especially if you have no taste.

This is the dumbest list ever... yeah Snape deserved to be number one... but Sirius def should have been above Dumbledore...sorry but every fan poll has put Sirius in the top four (even higher than Harry!)... Sirius was a major character and deserved to be higher than eight place... am gagging...

I gotta say, that comment regarding the Phelps twins is the first negative comment I've ever read regarding their portrayal of Fred and George. Also, since you're taking shots at Hufflepuff in Cedric's section, I'll add that Tonks is also a Hufflepuff. But what really bugged me about this article was #40: Colin Creevey; not that you listed him, but that you said he is played by Hugh Mitchell and Nigel Wespurt. Nigel Wespurt is a CHARACTER from the Harry Potter movies, created as sort of a replacement for/combination of Colin and Dennis Creevey. He is played by William Melling. I honestly don't know how you could've made that mistake. And Bellatrix's last name is Lestrange, not LeStrange (as shown in the Molly Weasley part). I assume that's a mistake as you spell it correctly later.

Glad that Snape was #1, he's my favorite character and he's the one who protected Harry and stayed strong throughout the whole thing. He totally deserved to be #1. I was thinking he'd probably be like #4 or #2 or something because I was sure that Harry would be #1, since he's the title character. I was really glad Snape was #1! xD Though, I think the list is a little dumb, I don't see why Aragog or Firenze would be in there, whatever happened to Aberforth or Kreacher? -.-

Ok, I like Snape, I think that he's a great character. But what annoys me is when people label him as 'selfless' and 'heroic'. The only reason he protected Harry is because of Lily, if it weren't for her the he'd be just another death eater with no conscience. I mean would he have gone to Dumbledore if Voldemort had chosen Neville as his equal? No, I don't think he would've. He would've left the Longbottoms to die. I just wish people acknowledged that any goodness that Snape had was because of his love for Lily and any good that he did was because of that too. And that makes him quite selfish in my opinion. Harry is selfless, he is inherently good and has principles, but Snape never did. I can't deny that he was brave or what he did was great, but he wasn't this amazing selfless tragic hero.
