    You COMPLETELY left out the Laputan robots from Laputa: Castle In The Sky. Fights against it's evil owner, dies saving Sheeta then tending to the wildlife on Laputa! This is INSANE! At LEAST put them in the list!

    In Flight of the Navigator, wasn't there also a robot/droid-thing that David uses to escape the facility he's being kept in. I think it was just a box on wheels drove itself, but still, it helped him escape. The stuff friendships are made of.

    Thank you Total Film! I watched Silent Running when I was a kid and it made me a blubbering wreck - the only film ever to do so, but I could never remember its name! Now I know though, I'm not sure I can watch it again as I don't want to ruin my image as a man - a man who built the Eiffel Tower out of metal and brawn. Silent Running - a deserved number 1 slot.
