Universal postpone production in wake of Paul Walker's tragic death
Possibly the biggest crowd-pleasing moment in the whole of Avengers Assemble comes right near the end of the movie as Loki squares up to Hulk. Unfazed, Hulk seizes Loki by the ankles and smashes him against the floor. “Puny God.”

The Photo for the Death of Wash is from Tucker and Dale vs Evil...a film where Alan Tudyk doesnt die.

I always remember that Buffy ep with the gentlemen... The scene where the walked past the window scarred me. I'll also never forget that monster that sucked the life out out of children with his eyeballs.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer was always mind-curshingly s**t.

Why the hell do you call "Marvels' The Avengers" "Avengers Assemble". The name of the film is Marvel's The Avengers. You are a film website. Feel shame.

You got #1 absolutely bang on. I watched this about 1 and a half years ago. I couldn't remember the last time I cried. I watched this unprepared. I was numb for days. I still well up thinking about it. I watched the Buffy and Angel Boxsets straight through and when I was done I watched it all again with a family member. I warned her about this episode and she dismissed it. I left the room for this episode and I came back afterwards and she was crying (and she never cries as a result of TV/movies). The most powerful piece of television ever.

The fact that Doyle's death from Angel wasn't included on this list makes me sad. One of the best episodes ever.

@adamquesnell Its called Avengers Assemble in the UK and Ireland so as not to avoid confusion with the old tv show The Avengers. You are a film fan. Feel shame.

yo'll mid-age kids workin in TOTAL FILM need to start thinkin harder. all your readers get from yo is excitement and fascination with movies that are basically childern stuff. cartoons.
first of all AVENGERS is an average movie. there nothin big about it. stuff been done only so many times in superhero cartoons. no big emotions about it that would elevate it above similares.
THE CABIN IN THE WOODS has very interesting premise, yes, but thanks to your loved WHEDON didnt take itself seriously and spat out a horrortoon.
CONCLUSION: there is nothin so special about WHEDON, HOLLYWOOD is full of WHEDONs so drop it already. enough is enough. you've overdone it

I think I have to rewatch Buffy and Angel.
May 28th 2013, 17:41
@YTWhitemanson - I wonder if anyone else reading your post was reminded of the Pimp guy in Superman: The Movie. "Say, Jim! Whoo! ... That's a bad outfit!"

I love anything Joss Whedon but I think Dollhouse deserves far more credit than that one moment.

Nothing against Objects in Space, but I always felt that Out of Gas was not only a superior episode, but would have made a much better season/series finale. You have the bookend origin stories with the pilot, a more compelling sense of drama around whether or not Mal survives, and that final shot of Serenity just sitting there, abused by the powers-that-be and unloved by those who couldn't see past her surface, as she waits for her adventures to begin. It's the episode I've watched the most, and never get tired of.

Does she have to be a "she-soldier"... What about "soldier". I think both he-soldiers and she-soldiers would be ok with that...

Actually in "Once More With Feeling (#20) Alysson Hannigan had several songs including a duet with Tara.. it was Michelle Trachenberg(sp?) "Dawn" who was absent for all the singing and when she finally started she got one squeaky line out before it got cut short as she was kidnapped. the only thing that popped to mind was "Well you can tell who can't sing..."
Also, #1 was dead on.(No pun intended) easily one of the most impacting hours of television ever. the absence of a score was brilliant. as was "Hush"
Whedon's pure genius. he knows how to entertain an audience.

@wayneT23 no it isn't... you can see his toy dinosaurs which he plays with in Firefly. and @adamquesnell it was called 'Avengers Assemble' here in the UK, which is where Total Film is published, you are on a film website, feel shame.
May 29th 2013, 11:33
@matthewjeffs they originally had a different picture of Alan Tudyk. He pointed out the error and they fixed it.
May 29th 2013, 19:18
@OdumC Not true. There is no duet with Tara. If you're talking about I'm Under Your Spell then Tara sings it alone. Willow sung a little in I've got a Theory and "I think this line's mostly filler" in Walk Through the Fire. She joins in choruses, but it was clear she didn't want to sing (which Joss confirmed.)

I've never understood the fandom that came with Buffy and Angel, it always seemed just so full of unfeesabily c**p teenage bull.
Serenity I did enjoy.
May 29th 2013, 21:08
@ bagginsboy ... actually more like the fat guy in Mall Rats who can't see the boat in the stereogram
May 30th 2013, 23:10
@WayneT23 uhh, if you're talking about #15 "Bye Wash", no, that's not from Tucker and Dale. Unless you're looking at a different picture than I am, you can clearly see a toy dinosaur in front of the ship's controls. Plus, he looks totally different in Tucker and Dale.

Nothing worse than schizophrenic spammers.

I love Whedon, but he ruined RUNAWAYS, his issues where a mess. I don't think OBJECTS IN SPACE was ever intended as a season finale, it just happened that way when they were axed in the middle of there run.
