Nice list, well done! Good calls on Big Chris and Clark Griswold...especially Griswold should be higher. Some I missed here though: Greg Kinnear in "Little Miss Sunshine"... when he jumps on the stage you know how much he cares for his daughter's well-being. And then Keith Richard's in "Pirates...."! And how about Al Pacino as "Dad" in "The Devil's Advocate"?? For sure there are lots more....

Steve Freeling would have been a nice addition (Poltergeist).

Also think that Gaz from The Full Monty should definitely be in there somewhere. Maybe even Jack Frost.

Kyle Reese.. without ever knowing that a) he has a son and b) he is friends with his son later in life, he gives up everything to travel through time and fight a b*****d hard robot to save his entire existence.. quite tragic really.

Great list. Mufasa and Ted Kramer are definitely the best on there.

This is a good list with a nice spread. Aside from Mrs. Doubtfire, Robin Williams is also amazing in World's Greatest Dad. He tries his hardest to bond with his socially inept and self-destructive kid played brilliantly by Daryl Sabara, and you can't help but feel for him when things fall down because he was so unconditional and sincere in his love and care for a really undeserving son. From the movies I've seen on this list though the fathers that stand out for me based on integrity, values and simply looking out for the well-being of their children are; Laurence Fishburne as Furious Styles, Gregory Peck as Atticus Finch, Robert Benigni as g***o Orefice, Viggo Mortensen as The Man, Will Smith as Christoper Gardner, James Earl Jones as Mufasa and of course, Dustin Hoffman as Ted Kramer. A movie I've seen recently that kind of raises the question of what a good father is, is Prisoners. It's been slagged off for it's religious content but it really provokes thought about moral dilemmas you may face as a parent, and the lengths you would go to in a time of crises.
